Scholarships

We’ll be working to offer as many scholarships and employer-funded positions as possible; students will be responsible to pay for the examiner’s fee and written test fees.

Funding for military service members

Military services offer a number of options to cover testing and/or test-prep costs

GI Bill

Our training courses are not currently approved for the GI Bill; however, the tests are reimbursable. Please visit the VA site for more information.

Credentialing Opportunities Online

The Credentialing Opportunities Online (COOL) program offers funding for professional licenses and certificates related to service member military specialties. Each service has its own program; A quick summary by service is below.

Army COOL

$2,000.00 per year can be used toward courses and testing. Follow the link to complete the needed prep work and communication prior to training.

Navy COOL

Navy COOL will reimburse for testing costs. You must get pre- authorization before paying for testing.

Air Force COOL

Testing is covered to a lifetime maximum of $4500; training is not covered. Funds are available to active enlisted Airmen in certain AFSCs. You must create a credentialing goal and obtain supervisor approval prior to testing.

Coast Guard COOL

Up to $4,500 per year will be reimbursed for testing, study materials, and training courses. A request must be submitted at least two weeks prior to testing.

Marine COOL

Test fees are covered for enlisted; the credential must be aligned with MOS. Supervisor approval and Marine Corps Credentials Program Office approval must be received before testing; requests must be submitted at least 7 business days prior to testing. Funds are available to enlisted Marines only.
